2011-2012 Tuition

Velocity Music Academy accepts Checks, Cash, PayPal, and all Major Credit Cards.  A 3% online processing fee is added to all Credit Card transactions.

*Registration: A $35 registration fee is charged to all new students.  This fee is not charged again as long as the student remains currently enrolled.

*Recital Fee: A $30 mandatory recital fee is charged at the beginning of the Fall (September) and Spring (January) semesters.

Private Lessons

First Steps in Piano

Group Theory and Performance Classes

• $10 per month.  Classes meet once a month from Sept-May for 45 minutes each class.
• Class will cover theory concepts, music history, and performance skills.
• Class is optional for any students taking private or pairs lessons

Music Together®

• $220 per 10 week session (Fall, Winter, and Spring) for first child enrolled, $140 for the second child enrolled.  Third child is free.  Any siblings under the age of 9 months at the start of the session are free.

Suzuki Strings

• $140 per month for 30 minute private lessons and group classes(mandatory for all string students).
• Group classes meet twice per month for one hour and are charged monthly in addition to private lessons.
• No Suzuki group classes over the summer.  Private lessons will continue over the summer.
• One time parent training fee.  $50 for a group parent training, and $75 for private parent training.

Tuition Policies

• Fall tuition is due Sept. 1, Oct. 1, Nov.1, and Dec. 1
• Spring tuition is due Jan. 1, Feb. 1, March 1., April 1, and May 1.
• Students who start late in the semester will have a prorated tuition, but not a prorated recital fee.
• You will receive a web invoice for tuition. You may pay this invoice by credit card, or leave a check or cash payment at Velocity Music Academy in the “tuition” box.
• If you are paying by cash, please write your name on the outside of an envelope and put your cash in the envelope and drop it in the “tuition” box at Velocity Music Academy.
• Tuition is considered late after the 7th of the month, and a $25 late fee will be added to your tuition.

Are there any other fees?

• There are optional fees for students wanting to enter local festivals and competitions.
• Each student is also responsible for purchasing his or her own music books, theory books, and lesson notebooks as assigned by each teacher. Materials are placed on hold at Velocity Music Academy and can be paid for either by check, cash, or credit card.
