Rock Band Camp with Ulrich Ellison
1 June 4-8, 9:00 a.m.-noon. Spend the week with our resident rock star superstar, Ulrich Ellison! Ulrich, a CD recording artist and touring musician, will show you the basics of how to be a rock star. Bring your guitars (all types) or other instruments and prepare for a week of learning and fun, with a jamming rock concert at the end of the week.
Music Sampler Class
2June 11-15 Musical Sampler Camp (Monday: Harp, Tuesday: piano, Wednesday: flute/fife, Thursday: strings, Friday: Guitar) Have you ever wanted to learn a little bit about many instruments? This week is your chance! Every day of the week, one of our teachers will spend 3 hours with you, showing you the instruments, teaching you some basics, and letting you play. We will learn basics, do some crafts, have listening time, and performance time. Included in your tuition is a fife (similar to a flute) for you to keep!
Beginning Piano Camp
3June 18-22 Beginning Piano Camp, ages 8-12 with Shane Lamb. Beginners age 8-12, now is your chance to learn the basics of the piano in one fun week! We will work with a beginning method designed for your ages. Throughout the week, we will focus on note reading, simple pieces at the piano, and the basics of music. Included in this camp will be craft time, performance time, listening, and other activities about the piano.
Suzuki Strings Camp
4June 25-29 Suzuki Strings Camp, ages 4-16 9:00-noon book 1 and pre-twinkle, 9:00-3:00 late book 1 and above with Cecilia Calvelo-Hopkins and Dr. Nick Jeffery. Suzuki String students, welcome back to the 2nd Annual Summer Suzuki Camp! The morning times will be for pre-twinkle students and students in book one. We will have masterclasses, private lessons, group classes, origami and other crafts, and a concert at the end of the week. The afternoon time will be a longer camp time for students in late book 1 and above.
Beginning Piano Camp
5 July 9-13 Beginning Piano camp, ages 5-8 with Angela Morone. Always wanted to know if your child had an interest in piano? Want to give your child a head start on piano lessons? This is the week to do it! Angela will lead the kids in activities about music, teach them basic note reading, and learn simple songs on the piano. Included in the camp will be music theory, crafts, and other activities about the piano. Ages 5-8 only please!
Around the World Camp
6July 16-20 Around the World Camp with Angela Morone. Every day of the week we will be focusing on a different country and its musical culture! Children will learn about the music, culture, and customs of that region.
Around the World Camp
7Aug 6-10 Around the World Camp with Sue Liu. This camp meets from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
